Foul play suspected

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, something like this happens:

And this dastardly crime occurred yesterday right in my own neighborhood. I'll keep an eye peeled for any of these flamingos in the area.

Had my own mother placed the same in my yard I too may feel the need to clear the yard and tell her that I haven't the foggiest idea what happened to the birds.

I think it's more of a crime to have 60 plastic pink flamingos - on display - in your yard.

Maybe some evil and other-worldly mastermind is going to amass a bunch of those, then plans to unleash a magically-animated, homicidal army of pink flamingos on the city of Lincoln. That would indeed be murder most fowl!

I wonder if the folks that got busted out in the panhandle with a mysterious platoon of yard gnomes could somehow be connected to this. If you've seen the Child's Play film series, you'll understand my concern.

That's a lot of flamingos. One would have to have a large vehicle in which to fit all of those. Not to mention the energy and effort needed to combat the degree of tackiness. Maybe you should offer a medal for whoever did it.

There are actually several fundraisers by which flamingos are placed in someone's yard and the homeowner is asked to donate to the cause. The homeowner can then pick the next person to be flamingo-ed

being flamingoed is similar to being forked.

My first place to check would be the trailer parks. :)

Shouldn't this have been classified as Fowl Play?

Well, being forked is better than being spooned.....
Also, is the theft of ornamental water fowl up in lincoln? I blame theis on the economy and LFR.....mainly LFR (I blame most problems on them...)

Based solely on the RD, I wouldn't leave out other home owners as potential offenders. If I had 60 pinkies show up in line of site of my home. I might think about a disappearing act. Some form of magical trick gone-a-fowl you might say!

I think it was probably the same guy who took the Lindbergh baby

I couldn't find anything to do with pirates and flamingos. Maybe it was like this case of Bird Flu in Florida.

I liked this one too.

My boys would love it if we had 60 Plastic Pink Flamingos placed on our yard they could use them to throw at nasty neighbors that say they aren't allowed to ride their bikes on the sidewalk because they have training wheels on them. Personally I was thinking a train air horn would be a nice way to be mean back to the neighbors. Maybe hook it up to my telephone so everytime it rings the train air horn goes off. (I can't stop laughing!)

TO 11:24 AM,
What is the idea that trailer parks raise the radar in your mind. You say "look in trailer parks."

Let me tell you some information for the narrow and biased mind you have. Many of us that are in trailer parks have several cars. Often more expensive than the trailer. Also we are not in debt like I suspect you are because we pay so LITTLE taxs on the trailer in the "Trailer Park" In fact in another 8 years our total net worth should be about 1.75 million dollars. And that is not too bad for a poor boy trailer trash dude like me.

I don't think 11:24 was trashing trailer park residents as much as he/she was referencing the stereotype about plastic flamingos appearing mostly in trailer parks.

Oh lordy going from Foul Playing Flamingos to Trailer Trash. What the heck. I wouldn't have taken offence to the comment about looking in trailer courts. I actually am getting a kick out of the comments here.

Check the Cub Scouts I know they needed to raise money! :)

Trailer Trash! Take your 1.75 million and buy a nice little house.

Why would he/she buy a "nice little house?
All of the people in debt are paying the high property tax for those in trailers, while the trailer people get rich.

Perhaps he/she is living in a trailer saving money for an early retirement. Most people in debt are living beyond their means.
