No surprise
While I was at it, a also looked at the manner of the suicides over the past few years. I don't think there's any surprise here, although I can't remember quite this many carbon monoxide poisoning cases.

Are any of the gun suicides on that pie chart "suicide by cop", or are those classed as justifiable homicides?
No, we haven't had a fatal shooting by a Lincoln police officer since 1992. There have been scores of very close calls, though.
Were such a case to occur, a "suicide by cop" would not be classified as suicide, rather as justifiable homicide.
