Spring delayed

It's been a cold, wet spring in Lincoln. I've lived here since 1967, and don't recall one quite like this. The flowering trees are just now starting to bloom, a month overdue. Monday, though, the temperature finally hit 80, and hope soared. Alas, here is the view out my back door this morning:

Some would consider the widely variable weather in Nebraska as a bad thing. To me, it's one thing that keeps life here interesting. Try living in Washington or Oregon where it is cloudy and rainy most of the time, or the southwest where it is almost always sunny and either warm, or downright hot. It gets old really fast.

Any chance Mother Nature could be ticketed for false representation, lying, and/or false imprisonment?
