If one hadn't needed the police report for greasing the skids on an insurance claim, it would have been tempting to just off the turkey and eat it as a form of payback. Cover your deductible with drumsticks. Wild turkey is mighty tasty, better than store-bought, for certain.

Taking advantage of that segue, here is a heck of a deal for the youngsters from NE G&P. Hey, what do you know, turkey season(s) are here now (for bow) or right around the corner for shotgunners.

This turkey needs to be made an example of. No White House style pardons.

Last year I let the dogs out into the back yard about 10 pm for the final "duty" round and all of a sudden they run to the fence and start barking like there was no tomorrow. It is dark out and I have no idea what the deal is so I go out to grab them and there is a huge bird in the neighbor's yard. I don't live that far from the zoo so I thought it was an escaped peacock. Throw the dogs in the house and investigate - it was a wild turkey! Next morning it is light and when the dogs go out that turkey took off and flew about 4 feet above my head - do you know how big a turkey is when it is 4 feet above you - pretty darn big!!!

I have a couple of law enforcement types for neighbors - the thought crossed my mind that with one "teeney tiny" little gun shot it could be neighborhood cookout time but...figured there could be some downside potential with that plan!!

Taser on high until golden brown. Serve with mashed taters. Cheesecake for dessert. Perfect.

Maybe the turkey was after his favorite cheesecake.

Chief,

Was B0-029135 a disc lock, or a inferior type of lock that was breached?

Can't say for sure, but looks like the hasp was cut, not the lock. Officer Chris Fields worked it,maybe he can clarify if it was a disc lock.

Well, Spring is officially here, heralded by the year's first (and surely not last) house party robbery. There are only two rental homes on that block, and I'm going to venture a guess that it was one of those two where this happened.
