If any state tried to restrict the rights guaranteed by other Constitutional Amendments there would be riots in the streets. A fictional example: California passes a law that makes it mandatory to wait 15 days before a Citizen can purchase a book from a Bookstore. In addition any book with more than 200 pages CANNOT be sold. We may see with the current idiots in charge for a few more years. When sheriffs decide on their own not to enforce the law, that's one thing, and I would have to agree with the director on that one. However, some states are passing, or attempting to pass, legislation that prevents the enforcement of these laws, and in that case, I would suggest that the LOEs should defer to state law.

As for Nebraska and the law regarding the identity of Concealed Handgun Permit holders, I was under the impression that this information was only available to law enforcement personnel in the pursuit of their duties.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10369138557977907215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225570644228196036.post-54422024717477863752013-02-05T12:17:26.382-06:002013-02-05T12:17:26.382-06:00Journalists think everything is an Assault Weapon....Journalists think everything is an Assault Weapon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225570644228196036.post-21171239693279825312013-02-05T11:47:33.684-06:002013-02-05T11:47:33.684-06:00Gun Nut,

Article III, Section 2.

With incendiary issues like gun control, people sometimes pander to their perception of public opinion among their supporters. Law enforcement officers must always be subordinate to civilian control by legislative, executive, and judicial authority as established by the law. Do you care to comment?

I have been a law abiding citizen all of my life. However I will never obey any law that "infringes" on my right to keep and bear arms. I might add I do NOT need the SCOTUS to decide what infringe means. I have been very vocal in the past about my feelings on the Second Amendment and I am sure I will be one of the very first doors that agents of a tyrannical government will be knocking on. I hope I never see that day but with the crazies in charge I think we are getting there.

"Certified" Gun Nut

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225570644228196036.post-39357568216609993682013-02-05T10:26:20.253-06:002013-02-05T10:26:20.253-06:00One thing for sure - the average "journalist&...One thing for sure - the average "journalist" would probably call it a deadly assault weapon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225570644228196036.post-28037260651989564272013-02-05T08:12:18.799-06:002013-02-05T08:12:18.799-06:00Pretty sure you're right about the make. That gun requires a battery as it is electric powered...so it could be that the magazine and battery are combined in that unit.Grundle Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10748007604078024036noreply@blogger.com
